The Tampa Bay multifamily market had an occupancy rate of over 95% in 2020, beating expectations during the coronavirus pandemic. It's net absorption - the total new square footage leased minus the total square footage of tenants that no longer occupy their apartments in a given time period - was also in the top 10 for all metro areas in the country.
